Just a quick shot today on the Bush wiretap fiasco - I’ll get into a more dedicated rant on the whole mess once the holiday time sink clears up a bit. For now, I wanted to post this since it’s an interesting turn in the whole deal. One of the things that hasn’t made much sense since the illegal wiretap program came to light is why Bush would circumvent an oversight court that wouldn’t turn down syphilis? The court is ridiculously amicable, so why would Bush bother to be shady when they’d go along with any requests he made.
Apparently, the obvious answer was just a bit too obvious - they weren’t going along, and had in fact turned down scores more of Bush’s requests than they had since the court’s inception.
Habari Windows?
