Ahead of the Curve
30 September 2006 | News, US News/Politics | No Comments
I’m making this post with the sole intention of avoiding the “I had that idea x-amount of years ago” conversation in two or three years from now. eCandidate is an interactive video thingy I developed with Wolfe Pack Creative for political campaigns that lets candidates speak directly to voters researching them on the web. It’s a dead-obvious fit for politics, where face time is such a huge commodity, and lets voters establish a connection with the candidate that can’t be had by reading pages of text that were written by staffers.
The link is to the sales pitch/demo we created and released yesterday to the world, so we’ll see if anybody jumps.
I’m 100% positive that interactive video like this will be a must-have on campaign sites in 2008 - maybe even as early as 2006 - but political campaigns aren’t known for being cutting-edge, so we may actually be too far ahead of the curve on this one.
