Link: Microwave plan for colossal squid (BBC News)
The Saga of the Colossal Squid continues, as scientists try to figure out how to thaw the bastard without ruining the entire specimen.
The 1,089-pound specimen was originally frozen in a massive block of ice until they could figure out how to best preserve and display the Jules Vernian monster, but now the problem is that thawing it could allow parts to rot while others are still frozen.
